PCYBL will once again offer our very successful Summer/Fall Rookie Pirates program for players age 6-8.  

 

This Summer/Fall Rookies Pirates league runs similarly to the In-house PCYBL spring Rookies division, in that we will have a once-a-week clinic on Wednesday nights (6pm start) run by professional coaches (with the help of parent coaches) and then we will have coach-pitch games on Saturdays between teams (1pm start). Clinics and games will be held at local Port Chester fields…Lyon Park and other local fields if necessary.

 

The program will run for 6 weeks of clinic instruction and games between June 25th through July 30th, with playoffs to follow during the first days of August, as we aim to crown a league champion.

Each player will receive a uniform shirt, returning in-house players will use their current hat. Only new players, that did not participate in-house will receive a hat. The cost for the Summer Rookie Pirates program will be $150 per player (or $250 per player if you sign up for both Summer and Fall Rookie Pirates).

This program will be available to all players who were of rookies age in the spring (6, 7, 8 year old). Additionally, we are including those players who were 5 years old in our tee ball division in spring and will be moving up to rookies next spring season.

This will allow these rising 6-year old players entering rookies next spring to gain instruction and to become familiar with rookies-level gameplay.

As with our in-house season, the key to success is parent-coach involvement. Please consider signing up as a coach to help the kids get the most instruction and enjoyment out of the program. During clinics, coaches will be educated in detail from the professional coaches how to run drills and stations. During game-play on weekends, coaches and PCYBL board members can be leaned for guidance as needed.

Port Chester Youth Baseball League (PCYBL) will be offering tryouts for our Fall Softball Pirates travel program for ages 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u and 16u

 Tryouts will be held at 6pm on Sunday August 10 at the Port Chester HS Varsity Baseball field (Park Ave side). There is no fee for Tryouts for PCYBL Players. You MUST complete the registration prior to tryouts.

 

8u - 10u Check in at 5:30pm, Tryout 6:00pm to 7:00pm

12u, 14u and 15u Check in at 6:30pm, tryout 7:00pm - 8:00pm

 Cost for the Pirates Fall Softball Program is $300

 

** Note the Pirates fall softball registration fee will only be applicable after tryouts, once players are awarded spots on a Pirates team. This will be done via separate registration. This registration is for tryouts only. 

We are excited to announce tryouts for our 2025 Fall Port Chester Pirates Baseball travel teams!

Tryouts will be held at Lyon Park in Port Chester on Wednesday August 6th

- 6-7pm are tryouts for all players who will be 10u and younger (born after April 30, 2015)

-7-8pm are tryouts for 11u and 12u teams (born between May 1, 2013, and April 30, 2015)

 

***Note that players “age up” in fall. Ages above are based on your child’s age as of May 1, 2026. Players who were 8U in summer 2025 are 9U in fall of 2025, players who were 11U this summer will be 12U in fall.

 

- Cost for the Pirates Fall Travel Program is $350 (includes uniforms & league games)

- There is no tryout fee

 

- You must be registered prior to tryouts

Port Chester Pirates Fall Travel Baseball:

 

Augmenting our successful in-house baseball season & Summer travel Pirates program, the fall season allows any baseball player who seeks another season of competitive travel baseball to participate in our travel league offering. Those players between the ages of 7 and 12 who sign up and participate in the Pirates fall program will continue their development and skills. Teams form in late August, and fall travel games begin in early September, running through late October. Teams play in the GHVBL (Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League) and should expect to have a couple of practices and/or games each week. 

The GHVBL playoffs conclude in late October, wrapping up fall baseball before November.
