PCYBL will once again offer our very successful Summer/Fall Rookie Pirates program for players age 6-8.  

 

This Summer/Fall Rookies Pirates league runs similarly to the In-house PCYBL spring Rookies division, in that we will have a once-a-week clinic on Wednesday nights (6pm start) run by professional coaches (with the help of parent coaches) and then we will have coach-pitch games on Saturdays between teams (1pm start). Clinics and games will be held at local Port Chester fields…Lyon Park and other local fields if necessary.

 

Each player will receive a uniform shirt, returning in-house players will use their current hat. Only new players, that did not participate in-house will receive a hat. The cost for the Summer Rookie Pirates program will be $150 per player (or $250 per player if you sign up for both Summer and Fall Rookie Pirates).

This program will be available to all players who were of rookies age in the spring (6, 7, 8 year old). Additionally, we are including those players who were 5 years old in our tee ball division in spring and will be moving up to rookies next spring season.

This will allow these rising 6-year old players entering rookies next spring to gain instruction and to become familiar with rookies-level gameplay.

As with our in-house season, the key to success is parent-coach involvement. Please consider signing up as a coach to help the kids get the most instruction and enjoyment out of the program. During clinics, coaches will be educated in detail from the professional coaches how to run drills and stations. During game-play on weekends, coaches and PCYBL board members can be leaned for guidance as needed.

The program will run for 6 weeks of clinic instruction and games starting Wednesday, September 3^rd, first game will be held on Saturday, September 6^th, with playoffs/finals on Saturday, October 11^th.

New players that did not participate in 2025 in-House or Summer Pirates will receive a uniform shirt and hat. The cost for the Fall Rookie Pirates program will be $150 per player.

PCYBL is proud to offer a three-week baseball camp for ages 6 - 15 years old coached by the Port Chester Rams High School baseball staff along with various high school and travel coaches in the area.

Summer Camp will be an all-day opportunity to work on baseball skills, including pitching, hitting, fielding and baserunning.

Camp will be held in three Port Chester Locations: Lyons Park, Port Chester High School or Port Chester Middle School baseball fields. You will be advised which location prior to the start of camp.
